Religious Education

At our school, we believe that children in EYFS and KS1 learn best through a rich, engaging, and nurturing curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We aim to provide meaningful learning experiences that help every child develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically, while fostering a lifelong love of learning. Through play, exploration, and carefully planned teaching, we support children to become independent, resilient, and enthusiastic learners.

We aim for all pupils to:

  • Develop confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Build strong foundations in communication, language, reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Explore and understand the world through practical and hands-on experiences.
  • Develop creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
  • Learn to work collaboratively, share ideas, and respect others.
  • Build resilience and problem-solving skills through challenge and exploration.
  • Develop fine and gross motor skills through active learning opportunities.
  • Feel safe, valued, and included within a nurturing environment.
  • Make good progress from their starting points and achieve their full potential.
  • Become kind, respectful, and responsible members of the school community

In EYFS, learning is carefully planned through a balance of adult-led teaching, continuous provision, and child-initiated play. Our curriculum follows the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and supports children across the seven areas of learning.

Children are provided with exciting opportunities to explore, investigate, create, and communicate both indoors and outdoors. Through practical experiences and high-quality interactions, adults help children develop language, confidence, independence, and essential early skills.
