School Uniform
School Uniform – Ready for Learning Every Day
At Elizabeth Selby Infant School, we believe that wearing school uniform helps children feel part of our school community and supports a sense of pride, belonging, and readiness for learning each day.
Our uniform is simple, practical, and designed to keep children comfortable while they learn, play, and explore.
What to Wear Today
Everyday school uniform includes:
Children wear dark coloured trousers, skirts, or shorts with a white polo shirt and a light blue jumper, sweatshirt, or cardigan featuring the school emblem. In warmer weather, children may wear a blue gingham sundress or dark coloured shorts.
We also offer school logo sweatshirts and book bags, which can be purchased directly from the school.
Summer & Seasonal Options
When the weather is warmer, children may wear:
- Blue gingham sundresses
- Dark coloured shorts
- Lightweight comfortable clothing suitable for active play
PE & Active Days
On PE days, children should come dressed ready for movement:
- White T-shirt
- Dark coloured shorts, leggings, or tracksuit bottoms
- Trainers or plimsolls (for outdoor PE)
This helps ensure children are always ready for active learning and physical development.
Swimming
For swimming sessions, children will need:
- Swimming costume or trunks
- Swimming hat
- Towel
- Goggles (optional)
Our Approach
We encourage all children to wear uniform as it helps build a sense of belonging and supports positive routines for learning. Uniform also ensures children are comfortable and ready to take part in all school activities throughout the day.
