Year 1 Curriculum Overview
The Year 1 Curriculum Overview at Elizabeth Selby Infant School sets out a broad and engaging programme of learning across all National Curriculum subjects. It builds on Early Years learning and focuses on developing key skills in English, Maths, Science and foundation subjects such as History, Geography, Art, Music and PE.
Learning is delivered through carefully planned topics and meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, independence and a love of learning. The curriculum also places strong emphasis on reading, phonics and developing confidence in writing and number work, ensuring children build secure foundations for future learning.
