Breakfast Club
Elizabeth Selby Breakfast Club provides a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children to start their school day. The club is free of charge and open to all pupils. It offers a calm and supportive space where children can enjoy breakfast, socialise, and take part in relaxed activities before lessons begin.
We aim to meet the needs of all children. If your child has special educational needs or disabilities and requires additional support, please speak to a member of the Breakfast Club staff so we can ensure the right arrangements are in place.
A Calm Start to the Day
Each morning, children can choose from a range of activities, including:
- A quiet space for reading and calm activities
- Free play opportunities
- Structured games and activities
The aim is for children to feel settled, happy, and ready to learn when they go to class.
Breakfast Provided
A nutritious breakfast is provided each day, and children are encouraged to sit together, enjoy their food, and clear away afterwards to support independence and social skills.
We offer a variety of options, including:
- A choice of at least three cereals
- Toast with spreads (such as jam, marmalade, and Marmite)
- Fruit yoghurt
- Fresh fruit
- Fruit juice, milk (including soya on request), and water
Occasionally, the menu is enhanced with seasonal or themed foods such as porridge, bakery items, or dishes linked to the curriculum.
We are able to cater for most dietary requirements where possible.
